Slides from My Presentation on Usability

This is a presentation I gave back in March at the Connecticut .NET User Group, and in April at the Long Island .NET User Group.

Usability is a subject that is almost never discussed in the Microsoft community so obsessed with drag and drop. I intend to change this.

I’ve been promoting web standards for the past four years, which led me to a much broader subject of usability. I see it an as umbrella over web standards, UI design, graphics design, copywriting, typography, etc.

I intend to give this presentation at a couple of upcoming Code Camps. In the meantime, feel free to grab the “slide deck.” I rolled it into a ~7Mb PDF so you wouldn’t need PowerPoint.

Thanks for providing your presentation. I like the background of your slides. Maybe I will use it in a similar way in one of my powerpoint presentations.

I'm going to burn this to disk and carry it with me everywhere I go. I've run into too many that believe in putting everything possible on every page just in case someone may need it to be there.

Thank you.
