Search Engine Twins

If you happened to visit Yahoo! and the newly relaunched MSN, you might’ve noticed they look alike. How much alike is an interesting question.

Find 10 differences between MSN and Yahoo!

The navigation is almost identical. Both have the exact same selectors of "active" navigation links. Also, as you choose a navigation item, the description to the left of the search box changes the same way. This happens strictly client-side on both MSN and Yahoo!

This year Super Bowl commercials sucked unbelievably, but this could’ve been a great one: Yahoo! suing Microsoft over its stolen look. :)

OMG! It's even worse than I thought.
I was very curious about this and then it ocurred to me that I had never seen Terry Semel and Bill Gates together ANYWHERE. I called their press offices and they both confirmed that Mr. Semel and Mr. Gates had never met.

H'mmmm. I followed my hunch and proceeded to superimpose an image of Bill Gates over Yahoo CEO Terry Semel's headshot and that's when it got really, really creepy. I'm not going to say anything until I check this out very, very carefully but this Search Engine Twins thing has got legs.

Results are completely different though! On the UK one at least

Would've been VERY funny if results were the same, too.
