I plead ignorance: I don’t know who John Cowan is, but his slide deck RESTful Web Services (PDF) is among the best discussions of REST best practices I’ve seen to date.

Btw, great choice of typeface, John!

Very clear and interesting. But I can't quite get my head around how a web site (e.g. Amazon) could remember that I'm logged in RESTfully.

Interesting stuff... I would have loved to hear the presentation. I have been putting together a series on using ASP.Net MVC to provide a truely RESTful service on my blog: http://www.shouldersofgiants.co.uk/Blog
