jQuery(Sulky)

You know how you find a nice, secluded, family beach/park/etc…

And then a local reporter stumbles upon and writes an article about it…

And then the beach/park gets crowded and littered and loses its nice, secluded feel?

This is how I feel about jQuery right now. *sigh*

Hey, I know exactly what you mean. It doesn't seem that long ago when I started using it (and there were NO version numbers) and people were always giving me flack for not using Prototype or something else. Now just look around, when I went to The Ajax Experience in October in Boston it was jQuery, jQuery, and more jQuery ...

Crazy.

Sort of like when you like a band, and no one's heard of them, and then a few years later they have a "hit song" and ... everything just seems different.

Yep. This is how Amorphis became Depeche Mode, and Tiamat---Back Steet Boys. :)

But don't you feel some kind of pride for being one of the "discoverers" of this cool kid?
I actually like the fact that jQuery became so famous, now I have ton of tutorials and a really smart people who find more and more cool stuff in jQuery, that I wouldn't find without them.
