Debugging JavaScript with Aptana
Posted in Development
Aptana, the purported “Dreamweaver killer”, doesn’t cease to amaze me. Yahoo! UI Blog guys posted a screencast with Aptana’s founder, Paul Colton, giving a run-down on Aptana’s “IntelliSense” and JavaScript debugging capabilities.
Check out also their screencast archive.

Aptana stand-alone (Eclipse Shell) and the Aptana Eclipse Plug-In is very impressive and powerful. The debugger and multi-file JavaScript intellisense (from another .js file and html files) alone are golden. And can you guess the cost? Nothing! Nada! Free!

I couldn't make Aptana work with *.aspx loaded from external IIS. See this thread for details http://forums.aptana.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7891

Wow! Most impressive and immediately part of my development environment. I'm yet to explore much past the JavaScript side of things, but it's all good so far.
