This Page Should Be Banned
Posted in Apologetics
I'm serious, folks, this page, Create a structured page layout by using layout tables and cells, should be banned. I don't want to start another Tables vs. Semantic Markup flame. Suffice it to say: tables are an eggcellent tool, but leave tables to tabular data. Period.
On a similar note, I'd really like to see FrontPage put out of business. It's done enough disservice. Harsh words, I know—but as the golden rule of weightlifting goes—"No pain, no gain."

Hey, the page has a feedback form. At the bottom there is a question: "Was this information useful?" Click "No", and you can select "Information is wrong" and then enter a reason. :)

I find it funny:
if i visit as a Mozilla Firefox, I get the disclaimer you describe, but if my browser identifies itself as:
Mozilla/6.0 (Commodore; U; Commodore 64 R2004; se; rv:2.0) Gecko/20050401 Firewolf/1.1.2
it works without any red text at the top :)

There is a rating feature on that page, so I rated it with "It did not help me" and "The information is wrong" and put there complaints about the statement about the invalidity of my Mozilla 1.7 (which I love). I'm not sure M$ hears one voice, but let's see...

Another reason to ban that page:
"Warning: You are viewing this page with an unsupported Web browser. This Web site works best with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or later or Netscape Navigator 6.0 or later. Click here for more information on supported browsers."
And yes, Frontpage must die. It should never have been allowed to pollute the web.
