Designer's Crib Sheets

A couple of months back I stumbled across a link to VisiBone in somebody’s blog. Basically, this company offers a line of beautiful color charts, foldouts with HTML, JavaScript, CSS references and the like in printed form, as well as a number of online tools. What I loved the most were color charts and the Color Lab.

The site covers more than meets the eye. The navigation is somewhat inadequate but it doesn’t undermine the usefulness of the site itself. You need to scroll to the bottom to see links to FAQs, color swatches, font tests, and even a typing tutor (boy, I haven’t seen those for years). An automated font survey was what impressed me a great deal. You always wonder if you covered your bases with fonts when your pages are viewed on Windows, Mac or Unix.

I noticed Bob Stein of VisiBone had a combo for only $25, and now, a week later, I’m a happy owner of one. You can tell it was done with a lot of love and care.

Have fun exploring the site!

Thanks for the tip!

You have a typo in your visibone link though, it points to Bisibone.com and not Visibone.com.

Steven, thank you for bringing it up. Fixed.
